Purpose of the Job

Responsible for planning, budgeting and cost optimization in an effective and efficient manner.

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Assess advantages/disadvantages of different modes of transport
  2. Responsible to ensure Transport requirement planning
  3. Transport function costing PTL/FTL -develop cost optimisation transport models
  4. Interacting on daily basis with SBU logistics team, Sales team and concerned authorities for ensuring smooth flow of operations.
  5. Interaction with Vendor development team
  6. SAP ERP transport shipment planning
  7. Implement Standard operating procedure (SOPs) at every level of work
  8. Day to day monitoring the entire compliance activities of all the customer as per the contract
  9. Oversee and evaluate the efficiency of service delivery and work methods on the basis of customers feedback
  10. Ensure adherence to the Quality Standards of the Company (5S & ISO)
  11. Ensure confidentiality and sensitivity of the information and adhere to the Safety, Quality Standards, Policies & Procedures of the Company
  12. Handling any additional responsibilities as and when assigned by the Reporting Authority

Experience & Expertise

  1. 10 years experience in logistics knowledge on cost trends, transportation planning, Bulk break concepts, First mile/Mid mile/Last mile movements.
  2. Experience from logistic (3PL) organisation
  3. Knowledge about SAP shall be added advantage
